Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my jet ski engine needs a rebuild?

The common signs are low compression on a gauge, hard starting, blue or gray exhaust smoke, metal flakes in the oil, or a knock that gets worse with rpm. We start every rebuild job in Atlantic City with a compression test and teardown inspection, then show you what failed before any parts get ordered.

Is rebuilding cheaper than replacing the engine?

Often, yes. A rebuild addresses only the worn components, like pistons, rings, bearings, and gaskets, so it usually costs less than a full replacement engine. If the crankshaft or case is damaged beyond practical repair, we will tell you plainly and discuss whether an engine swap makes more sense for your ski.

How long does a two-stroke engine rebuild take?

Most PWC rebuilds take one to two weeks once parts are on hand, because proper work cannot be rushed. Two-stroke top-end rebuilds are faster than four-stroke bottom-end jobs. We give you a realistic timeline up front and send updates as the teardown and machining progress.

Where do you provide service?

We are based in Atlantic City, NJ and serve riders throughout the area, including Ventnor, Margate, Longport, Brigantine, Absecon, Pleasantville, Somers Point, Ocean City, Northfield, Linwood, and Egg Harbor Township. If you ride the back bays or the ocean near the Jersey Shore, we can help.

What are your shop hours?

We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are closed Sundays. During peak summer season we recommend calling ahead, since the schedule fills fast once the weather warms up.

How long does a typical repair take?

Most common repairs, like batteries, pumps, and fuel system work, are turned around in days, not weeks. Bigger jobs such as engine rebuilds or engine swaps take longer, but we keep you updated at every step so you always know where your ski stands.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Payment is due when the repair is complete and you have approved the final work. We quote up front, so the amount you pay matches the amount you agreed to.

Do you warranty your repair work?

We stand behind the work we perform. If an issue comes back related to the repair we completed, bring the ski in and we will make it right. Ask us about the specific coverage that applies to your repair when you pick up your machine, and we will explain it clearly.

What brands of jet skis and waverunners do you service?

We work on the major PWC brands, including Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner, and Kawasaki Jet Ski. Whether it needs routine maintenance, electrical diagnosis, or a full engine rebuild, bring it by the shop and we will take a look.

Carl did an engine swap for my 2023 VXHO Limited. He had me back on the water within a few weeks from the time I initially reached out to him. Very responsive, quick, quality work. Ski is running great.

Brought my jet ski here after it started acting up and im so happy i did! Carl and the crew are awesome. They figured out the problem super fast and explained everything to me which i really appreciated. Price was fair and no surprises. They kept me updated the whole time and i got it back way sooner than i expected. Runs great now, better than it has in a long time. You can tell they really care, they even answered my questions over the phone before i brought it in. Such a great shop. If your ski needs work take it here, you wont be disappointed!
